I need to 'fish' a cable through two Ethernet wall sockets. I have one in my living room and another one in my bedroom. I want to put an Ethernet cable between them. How do i do that?
The way it's usually done is to buy bulk cat5e or cat6 cable, run that through your walls and attic between the two wall plates. Pull a few feet / about a meter out from each wall plate and snip the cable.
The punch-down type are a lot more reliable, but a good punch tool will cost you $50+. So you may want to get the tool-less type. If you do get a punch tool, here's a video on how to assemble the keystone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHy8mtW9eak
How far apart are these two existing outlets? Do you have a basement or attic surrounding the two rooms?
Fishing wire usually starts in a basement or attic. You drill into the wall plate from the basement/attic and use a fish tape to pull the wire from the start to the basement/attic then through the basement/attic to the wall plate for the other room. Use a fish tape to pull a string to you and tie the string to the cable. Pull string to pull cable into other room.

Finally you insert the keystone into the wall plate. I can't tell from your pic what type of wall plate you have. But if it's just an empty rectangle, the keystone will snap into it. (First video shows how to do this.)
The bulk spools can get pretty expensive for just one cable since the spools are usually 500' or 1000'. So you could just buy a 30' or 50' or 100' or whatever length you need ethernet cable, and use keystones couplers instead. The ethernet cable plugs into one end of these, and the other end snaps into the wall plate. Coil up any excess cable and shove it inside the wall. http://www.amazon.com/Intellinet-Female-CAT-6-Keystone-Coupler/dp/B002JP92K8.
In the Do-It-Yourself section of your library or at the literatures section of Home Depot, there is an illustrated book precisely for this, I wish I remember the tittle, but the picture on front will be obvious.
