Ethernet works on old router not on new

Best way for me to explain the problem is through a story. I had a working internet connection with a ethernet cable, the weather was bad there was a power surge,the router stopped working, while i was waiting for a new router from my internet provider i used an old router that still worked but was a bit slow. When the new router(exactly the same router model that died from the surge) arrived i could not connect to the internet. I reinstalled Windows, tried different cables, ports, a different router from my friend, nothing. The only way i can connect to the internet now is with a tp link wireless usb adapter, or with that old router that barely works(reason it was been replaced a long time ago)
There is another pc(Win10) in the house that has a wired internet connection regardless of router, cable, port...
My operation system is Win7

"Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration

In that case you have to find router's IP (usually found on a sticker) and enter it manually in IPv4 settings.
