This idea came to me just now. On large buildings they use evaporation to cool their buildings(just like we sweat). These systems run water through a fan and lets some water evaporate in the process, the water tempurature lowers depending on humidity. I was thinking why haven't cooling companys. It would lower water tempurature lower than ambient and be quieter and more energy efficient than compressors. The only downside to this is the air in the room would become very humid, but the can be fixed with proper ventilation.
