My PC is fine when surfing the web and generally fine until I'm playing a game (graphically intense and not graphically intense games also crashing PC). Then, anywhere between 30 seconds to an hour into my game, my PC crashes. Looking at my event logs, I see it is an event 41 - kernel power issue. I have tried 95% of the fixes out there (literally), and nothing helps my case. I have updated all of my drivers, I've sorted through my BIOS settings, did a memory test, did a fresh install of windows 10, and even rebuilt my PC. The list goes on. This is extremely frustrating because the PC is only a month old so it's not old or deteriorated parts, and cost quite a lot of money... The only explanation I can come up with was when I overclocked my graphics card (not much at all) and then undid my settings a week later because a game didn't support OCd GPUs? I'm steering towards the idea of it maybe being a hardware issue. I'm not keen on forking out unless it's going to help my problem.
I have been told that this could be a Power Supply related issue, but I'd like some extra clarification.

Thanks, I thought it was PSU related, I'm off to buy a new one. :)

Beware, me and others with this exact problem have bought a new PSU thinking it would solve problem when it unfortunately has not.

How did you exactly fix the problem then? Just so that if my new PSU doesn't fix the problem I can try what you tried.

Actually.. my GPU died a few days ago. I removed it and haven't had problems since. It was a Sapphire R9 390.
