I work in a small computer repair shop and ive never come across this problem.
The customer whenever he is playing a game on her laptop the laptop will just crash and it seems to give the event ID 3 & 4 every single time. The odd thing is, when this happens it doesn't seem to shut down completely but get stuck in hibernation mode with the power button just flashing, and when it did his computer still had applications open and we were able to save her game. I am torn as to whether this customer is just being dumb and letting the laptop drain to the point where it goes into hibernation mode or if there is something actually wrong with her machine. I will list below what i have already tried.
HDD Test= pass
Malware scans= Nothing out of the ordinary
SFC= nothing
Memtest=pass
BurnInTest for hours and the temps never ran high and no errors.
Tried to find a "OOBE" file to delete it, i read that this was the solution to this problem on other forums but nobody gives an updated file path to where to find that file on windows 10
She has a Toshiba Satellite P55W-C
Intel I5-5200U CPU @ 2.20 GHz
8GB Ram
Win 10 64 Bit
i would appreciate any troubleshooting tips, I like to confirm when someone is being dumb before i send them off
