Event id 4101 driver crash when alt tabbing.

hi, whenever i use both my gtx 660 ti's in sli and alt tab, sometimes, it causes my screen to go black a few seconds, and say a driver has stopped working and has been successfully recovered. After searching for a while, it seems its something to do with timeout recovery or something like that, I went to an official microsoft page and used the microsoft fixit to extend the timeout recovery so this doesnt happen. Will there be any adverse effects on this? why does it only happen when I use sli?

Yeah I do, a repair shop claimed they fixed it and that was something they did only a day ago.

It says that you should have TDR turned off if you are using multiple gpus, is this correct?

Some times u can fix it in regedit

I've heard of regedit, but i've never used it, like I said, i extended the TDR time with that microsoft fixit, and im not getting any more driver crashes when I alt tab out of games like league of legends. Still, anymore suggestions would be great, as im not sure this might be a permanent solution or not.

Yes its a perments solution the same thing can be done with regedit thats what iam saying about

Just happened again, obviously didn't fix it. stopped for just under a month and its happened again. its not hardware related so it must be software. really pathetic tbh.
