Question event viewer filled with disk (154) and ESENT errors

So, i keep seeing these disk and esent errors in even viewer now sure whats the problem? It also freeses alot

I know a lot of people will say its the HD ,but I have replaced the Harddrive FIVE times and i still get the same message. Again, 5 BRAND NEW harddrives. Again... 5 NEW harddrives.

and again, ive replaced the harddrive 5 times. so its not the HD

What about the cable? Have you also replaced the data cables? Error 154 is a lost package error. There's nothing saying that had to happen at the drive, it could be before the drive. Could be at that particular header, cable, even the mobo itself.

I'd also do a dism and scannow from command prompt Admin.
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Sfc /scannow
Might also reset cmos, do a malware scan, and virus scan, use ccleaner to cleanup the system, use the registry tool (say Yes! to backup)

i have tried replacing the cable. it worked for a while, but im getting errors again. maybe try a sata 3?

Thank for the reply. I apologize if i seemed hostile, but EVERYBODY on the microsoft forums said "harddrive" even after i explained that ive replaced the drive multiple times

Yes, a Sata3 cable. Ideally you'll want speed and bandwidth of input to be greater than the speed and bandwidth of the hdd controller in the hdd. The cache deals with the differences, if it's too great then the info stays in the ram until it can be moved. If you have it the other way around then the data is constantly held in ram and the hdd begging for info that's taking too long to get moved.

Think of ping-pong, normally you see the direction the ball is coming and time your swing to match, so you can hit the ball. If for some reason that ball is traveling far slower and you've already committed to the swing, you miss. Swung too soon. If the ball comes really fast, you still can get in the way, even if it's not a great return. Swinging too soon, you miss, get an error.

Generally, with pc's and pc equipment, it's better to have too much and not need it, than not have enough and need it.

Makes sense. Is it possible it’s a power cable? Power supply? The HD will occasionally make a soft noise likes it’s struggling for power or data. That’s when I see the disk error in event viewer. Would you recommend anew psu or clear the cache and replace the sata cable?

HD tune shows drive healthy. No errors. I’m not surprised. Brand new drive.
