Question Every keyboard I use eventually stops working properly

I have been having this problem for a while. One day my corsair k55 keyboard would not register my inputs, and was typing a random string of characters/pressing a lot of shortcuts, rendering it useless.

I have also been using a wireless polaroid HK8028. This keyboard types fine sometimes, but randomly disconnects and doesn't register my inputs. This keyboard doesn't type random keys like the K55.

Occasionally both keyboards work fine, then they randomly go back to malfunctioning. Like I can be using the k55 without issue for hours, then suddenly it decides to stop working.

I am quite confident that this is a software issue, but I have tried everything I can think of. I have reinstalled drivers countless times, tried a clean boot and even reinstalled windows. I have no idea what is causing the issue

Do both keyboards behave normally when hooked up to a donor system? If yes, then the issue might very well be with your own platform, very likely the chipset drivers need reinstalling or that your OS is corrupt.

Where did you source the installer for your OS? What OS are you working with? Make and model of your motherboard and the BIOS version for said motherboard?

Yeah there is no issue when connected to a different system. I haven't tried reinstalling the chipset drivers, I'll look into it.

Make and model of your prebuilt? An SKU to the prebuilt will help us two fold. might also want to check and see if there's any BIOS updates pending for your prebuilt.

I can't seem to find the make and model, I have had the system a few years, and replaced almost everything bar the motherboard. I updated the BIOS, and tried reinstalling the chipset drivers but I'm still getting the same problem.

The last thing to do is reinstall the OS, after fabricating the bootable USB installer using Windows Media Creation Tools.

It didn't work unfortunately. I'm not sure where I can go from here. Maybe replace my motherboard?

Honestly I'm flying blind, since you can't tell me what the prebuilt is nor it's SKU. Where did you source the installer for the OS and how did you reinstall the OS?

I cant find the SKU anywhere, and there is nothing in the system info. I have a digital license for windows connected to my Microsoft account, I have tried both reinstalling straight from the internet and with a fabricated USB installer
