Please post your entire system spec including PSU make and model.
Also when you say it's disabling your GPU, please elaborate on what you see / encounter etc.
Do you have latest drivers installed?

What i mean by the GPU, i go device manager, under display adapters, NVIDIA geforce RTX 2080 and disable it. the moment i do it shows only my main monitor and the freezing stops.

i have tried to install the latest drivers but that hasn't worked.

When the gpu is enabled the freezing starts, every second thee screen freezes for about 250ms.

Try installing direct from NVIDIA:
https://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk

BIOS: https://www.gigabyte.com/uk/Motherboard/GA-Z170XP-SLI-rev-10/support#support-dl-bios
Make sure you ready all instructions as it can go wrong.

Is this a problem that has only started recently occurring or has it happened since you built it?
Does the freezing still occur in safe mode?

When i try to update the bios it says bios id check error

When i try to install the NVIDIA driver from the website it gives an error and tells me to use geforce experience

it began this morning, i woke up to no issues, i was downstairs sorting out some router issues and when i came back up later its was like this

and the freezing does not continue in safe mode
