Hi,
I have 3TB seagate external harddisk. i check for the drives health every 3 months or so to check if there is a bad sector, since external is prone to bad sector if plugged continuosly.
Everything is fine, however yesterday, in one day, suddenly i can't be read. When i check with disk management ( i use windows 10) it shows cyclic redundancy check. When i check it with HDD Regenerator and Partition Guru, it shows all the sectors is bad. I mean like bad sectors, all of them the whole 8080695 sectors. i am confused on how, in a single night, it suddenly develop 8080695 bad sectors. When i check the hardware, it spin for a few seconds in boot, and then like "clingg clingggg" and then shutdown.
Anyone can help me locate the problem and recover the harddrive? i am perplexed how it develop thousands and thousands bad sector in a single day, when i check it periodically, it always shows good health and everything. I use seatools to do regular check of the harddrives.
Thanx in advance
