Hi all.

Yesterday, I fell asleep with the computer on and when I started the screen again, everything was enlarged. By everything, I mean everything. Text, icons, toolbars, windows logo, even the mouse cursor.

So I tried to find help online but none of them helped

Already tried
1. Using the control button with - and +. This only changes the internet page and not the toolbar on the top or the icons on the bottom.

2. Fixing screen resolution. I'm still at my maximum screen resolution at 1024 X 768 and the slide would not go higher.

3. Changing text size. It is already at 100% default and DPI is at 96.

Help please. I need to use the computer for university and just looking at the screen makes my head hurt in this new setting. Also, since everything doesn't fit on the screen, I have to scroll horizontally.

Well.. my GPU is a 750ti and I just updated it with no change.

My monitor is 20 inch X 13 inch from 2006. When I tried updating its drivers, it says it has the search the internet for it

update: and it says its up to date

Hmm. I tried that but no response.

I think the problem is that the resolution is too low. It should easily be 1800 with a 20 inch screen but its strangely capped at 1028. I don't know why though..

I think I found the problem from this thread.
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2265838/screen-resolution-issue-generic-pnp-monitor.html

It lists my current viewsonic monitor as non-PnP, so that means my monitor drivers or gpu drivers weren't installed correctly.

I'll try checking my gpu if it overheated. I don't think there's anything wrong with the DVI cable because using my other screen (smaller, where 1028 is max anyways) it works fine.
