Hi,

I recently upgraded my desktop, after reinstalling all everything on my PC, everything seems to be slower than before, I don't know why? Anyway, I am a gamer, I was play Rise of the Tomb Raider last night, no lag or anything, I think is on ultra settings, but this afternoon, I was playing fallout 4 and it lag so bad on ultra settings. Here is the specs I have. Please help, really want to play games on ultra settings again.

Current spec:

Motherboard: ASUS Z170I Pro Gaming
CPU: Intel i7 6700k
RAM: Hyper X DDR4 2400MHz 8GB X 2
GPU: MSI Nvidia GTX 980Ti 6GB Gaming series
SSD: Samsung EVO 850: 250GB
HDD: Seagate SSHD 4TB
PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 P2

Past Spec:
MSI Z87I Gaming AC
CPU: Intel i7 4770
RAM: DDR3 1886MHZ 8 GB X 2
GPU: MSI Nvidia GTX 980Ti 6GB Gaming series
SSD: Samsung EVO 850: 250GB
HDD: Seagate SSHD 4TB
PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 P2

Very, very solid build you've got there. You should be able to max out these game with consistent and stable FPS no problem. Even your previous build should be able to do so. Assuming you're not running 4k monitors or triple 1440p monitors or something. I would check your temps and do a few virus scans. Since you've stated you've reinstalled everything on your PC (I assume that includes Windows as well) There shouldn't be any virus' but it can't hurt to check. If you haven't reinstalled Windows I'd give that a try if all else fails. Also keep an eye on GPU and CPU usages. Test this on different games in case one game is simply poorly optimized.

Thank you for the compliment for my upgraded PC. My past PC runs everything on ultra without problems. With the new upgrades, which I only just changed the components over the last weekend. Game is now lagging really bad. I am running windows 10. Norton 360 did not pick up NY viruses. I am using cooler master seidon 120V for CPU Cooling, the highest temp is at 50. I've only installed the drive available on the disk, so i am going to install the latest drive for the motherboard later. In addition, I've installed the new nvidia geforce experience, is really slow start up and keep saying some games like fallout 4, rise of the tomb raider are not supported optimisation. The old system is able to detect and configure, new one can't???
