Everything looks like Gigabit but doesn't feel like Gigabit

Trouble figuring out if this is "Normal" for a gigabit network or if there is a bottle neck somewhere

We have a mac server with a thunderbolt 2 attached RAID 6 Array - Locally we can run black magic speed test and get fast read & write performance ( 900MB/s)

We have workstations that are also mac connected via cat5e the local Mac ethernet control panels all show gigabit connectivity is present. These connections run under the floor ( good quality installation ) and break out to a Cisco managed switch also Gigabit performance - The server is also connected to this switch via a Cat6e cable.

All ethernet control panels show Gigabit connectivity

However, when we run Black Magic Speed test across the network to the same tested target drive on the server we only get 108MB/s speeds.

I was expecting to see more speed across the network? I also ran this test with a Laptop directly connected to the switch and got the same result

Solution
You are getting about the rate expected on gig ethernet when you consider the overhead in the packets. Remember data transfer is also in BYTE and network interfaces are rated in BITS
