***Everything powers up in my case except my CPU fan and the PC won't boot!!!***

I recently started experiencing this problem about a month ago. It first started with my PC randomly shutting off but this rarely happened. Now, whenever I shut off my PC instead of sleep, it doesn't want to boot up the next day. The fans, lights, and PC lights come on but the CPU fan doesn't turn. The first time this happened, I turned off the power supply and turned it back on ....that worked. The second time, I wiggled the PSU connector to the motherboard and that worked. Now, it simply doesn't want to boot. My LAN ethernet port also stopped working last week. I'm starting to wonder if my motherboard is simply going bad or there is an issue with my PSU. Any thoughts for you PC geniuses?

PC specs:
i7 950 Bloomfield 3.06 ghz (~3.8 ghz)
Asus Rampage Formula III mobo
MSI GTX 980 4GB
8GB DDR3 1600 mhz
WD 1TB 7200 rpm HD
Corsair 750w PSU
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Okay, I wiggled the PSU connector to the mobo and made sure the CPU fan was connected. It didn't work at first. I wiggled it a little more and reset the cpu from the motherboard and that seemed to work. I'm lost...I don't understand what the problem is.

If possible try another PSU. Since you said the LAN port doesn't work anymore, there might be a chance the Mobo is slowly dying.

Go into the bios and tell us the actual reading for the following:

+12 Volts:
+5 Volts:
+3.3 Volts:

That is a start.

Those are excellent readings, it does not rule out the power supply, because it is not under load, but it is the quickest and easiest thing to check.

I have two suggestions, the easy one is to borrow or buy a power supply to see if that fixes the problem.

The much more time consuming one, is back up all your data, replace the motherboard, and re-install the operating system.

One more thing came to mind, is it possible that just you fan on you CPU is failing, but that would not explain your comment about the Ethernet port failing.

Try Memtest86+ both memtest.org and memtest86.com have free versions, so you can take you pick.

Well, I used that program you posted and created a bootable USB drive using the USB-image tool and it didn't really do anything...it went straight to loading windows. And yes, I changed boot priority in BIOS to boot the USB.

Go to Control Panel and then Device Manager and see if there are any yellow exclamation points.

Especially for the Ethernet port and the USB ports.
