Everything seems to work but NO VIDEO INPUT

Hi,
I've just built my first PC and all seemed to be going well. Installing components was fun and easy... My components are:
AMD fx-6300
Gigabyte GA 78lmt usb3
2x4GB of cheap ram from internet
Zotac 1050ti
Phanteks p400
Phillips HDMI monitor
EVGA 430w 80+

I have been through the stickies checklist and I've done everything it told me to. Even with any ram combination, cable or video port it does the same thing. No matter what I do the monitor simply tells me No Video Input. I know the monitor is reciving something though due to the fact the message displays when I turn the system on.
Please help with any ideas!

Yes I have tried using both the hdmi and vga port on the mono without the gpu installed...

The board might need a BIOS update to support the CPU, but... hard to say if that's the reason. Are all components new? Can you connect a case speaker to the motherboard?

Is your monitor set to the correct input?
My monitor will display "no signal input" if I have the input set wrong.
I imagine even though a cable is plugged in to the wrong input a voltage can be detected to notify the user that the monitor is on but cannot find a signal.

All components apart from the monitor are new (I know the monitor works as I have tested via hdmi with my laptop)

I do not have a case speaker but what would this tell me? Should I buy one?

You'd start the board without RAMs to check if any beeps. This way you'd know if CPU and motherboard do work.
If no beeps, then I'd RMA both board and CPU.

I could see it possibly being a ram, you said it was some cheapo ram from internet. where do you live not to sound weird lol, do you have a microcenter by you?

The ram was bought from a 99.5% (with 5000 feedbacks) dealer on eBay. New ram I'd be surprised if bothhhh are broken... I live in the U.K. so sadly no micro centre. Thanks for the help. Would a photo of my system help?

Ummm there is nothing... here is a photo bank of my pc showing all fans spinning and everything looking normal apart from the screen. You can also see the ram.

The connections seem in order. I suggest waiting for the speaker and then deciding. By then, if possible, try borrowing a RAM module from a friend and testing.

I've just realised the ram is 1600mhz no the board is meant for 1333..... will this affect it?

I can now confirm the RAM is ELPIDA 1600mhz 2x4GB 240 desktop ram
