EVGA 1070 SC vs FTW

I can't decide between the 1070 SC or the FTW can anyone help me? I don't really plan on overclocking.

Obviously the FTW is going to be more powerful than the SC. If you don't mind spending the extra ~$50 then definitely buy the FTW.

actually you will get roughly the same fps out of either card. they both will hit the same speeds and will net the same in game performance.

grab the cheaper one, especially if you don't wanna think about overclocking. plenty of reviews out there that show them almost identical so i am very confident in saying this

I am thinking of buying SC (I don't mind about the FTW rgb lighting) but I am worried that I get one with the thermal pad issue, do you know if EVGA is still selling this deffected cards?

the thermal issue actually affected the FTW cards and not the SC ones. so you got it backwards

so an SC card never had any thermal issues to worry about.
