I bought this PSU to grab some extra 12VDC power for my virtual pinball machine. I am not hooking to a PC. There is no power switch. I plugged it in and there is zero output. Does this ATX PSU normally need to have the 24 pin connector terminated to a mobo to work? Can I take the green wire and short it to one of the black grounds?

Solution
Yes. Use a Uncoated paper clip or a small wire to jump the green wire to any adjacent black wire. That will start the psu when the power switch is on. In fact, that is the case for ALL computer PSUs. Just don't break off the connector...
There's a specialized jumper, but why buy that when you can just insert a wire into the plug?
And I though EVGA provided the small black connector with their PSUs.....
