EVGA 500w power supply not turning on

Hello everyone. So I just got all my parts in for my computer. Im using an i3 proccessor, GIGABYTE H110M-A MOBO, Geforce GTX 1050 TI. Now there is no plugins I can find for the Graphics card but I believe I have everything in the correct place. But yet when I try to turn on the power supply literally nothing happens. Help? 🙁 getting discouraged.

Turn on the computer itself. The power supply won't turn on by it self, even if the switch in back is on the "on" position. Once the Pc is on, the psu fan should start spinning.

Right now the MOBO is out of the case. Im doing an out of case build, how would I go about doing that then?

Make sure the motherboard is on a non conductive surface and static free environment, and just basically add components to the MOBO, but without the case. You'll also need some type of push switch to turn the pc on.

Im not sure exactly what you mean this is my first build ever, and Im stuck. Its in a very static free zone and the mobo is on the box it came in. I just want to make sure everything is running. I heard you can short something to turn on the mobo is that what you are talking about or?

Look for psu paperclip test video on youtube or google it. Do it and report back here.

Okay so I got the power to work, the fans will turn on and off every once and a while but nothing shows up on my monitor.
