Evga 550 GS config question

I just upgraded some components in my PC, I got the Evga 550 GS Supernova PSU, the CPU cord doesn't quite reach my ATX 12v 4 pin connection unless I stretch it hard which I won't. My question is can I use the VGA plug on the back of the PSU for the CPU connection since it's the same 8 pin plug? If so I can reach it but will it even work that way?

Ok well obviously I'm an idiot as I should of already known that the plugs aren't exactly the same so the answer is no it won't work....

In jonnyguru review, they could not plug the CPU in the VGA socket. It was said you can not plug something where it should not be plugged. So, imo it will not work.

Just get an EPS 12V (cpu 8 pin) extension cable. Will cost something like $8 for a sleeved one.
