I have an older agp system that wont take newer video cards (tried x1300pro, and two 7600gs's). Ive narrowed down my search to these two cards.

The pny has a 50mhz faster gpu, the evga has faster memory.

Which would be the best bet for playing non new games?

The pny is like $5 more which isnt a factor, thanks.

I'm sorry, but why wouldn't it "take" an X1300Pro or 7600GS? If it didn't run those, what makes you think it will run the either of the 6200s?

Please post your system specs.

My agp slot wont upgrade. It has like the intel 2001 driver. When i try to update it, it blue screens. I was on the phone with their tech support and they ended up telling me to contact the mobo maker which isnt really worth the time.

Something with the newer video cards just conflicts with my mobo. With the 7600's i would have to restart like 4 times for the driver to load (and would randomly restart when it did work). The x1300pro (in my other comp now working fine) got to windows and made a solid 320*200 green screen.

Im going core2duo soon and will use this machine to make xvids and stuff (does that fine). Just need a temp fix so i can play some d2 and ut at good frame rates.

ecs 865g-m mobo
p4 2.6 hyper thread
2 gig mem (half samsung half kingston)
audigy sound card
2 hds
1 dvd burner
running xp home

Thanks

I have an old 6200 PNY agp card with the nv43 core (lives in a computer in my garage). It has 128mb and I was able to use RivaTuner and unlock the other pipes and turned it into a 6600. It has the regular DDR and not the DDR3 but I was able to over clock it a lot. Can't remember how much but it was pretty good. You should try to find one of those cards it would probably work fine in your system.

Also a 6600GT agp would be a good match. I also have one of those sitting on a shelf some where in my basement.
