I just recently bought a computer on Ebay. Ive been in contact with the guy the sold it to me and he made sure to give it a fresh install of windows 7 64bit, update the 680 drivers, and make sure the machine was ready to go.

Farcry3 and Planetside 2 are the only games I've tried, and both crash completely randomly. Anywhere from 5 to 50minutes of gameplay. Its a complete machine freeze where I can't do anything other than power down, or it goes BSOD.

The RAM being overclocked is gaining you exactly zero and could very well be causing the system to be unstable.

Check your specs with HWMonitor.

And CPU-Z.

Test overall system stability with Prime 95.

Test memory with memtest.

Prime 95 and memtest need to be run for at least 8 to 10 hours. You also need to monitor temps while running Prime 95. Coretemp and Realtemp are great and HWMonitor also does a great job.
