EVGA 680I Chipset Processor Compatibility

My old MSI board burned out, and I have to hurry up and get another board to get activated, I've bought a EVGA nVidia 8600GTS and 2GB of 800Mhz Corsair Memory, also a new 750W Power supply. Right now I only have enough for either my board or processor, my next processor will be the Duo2 core 6850 intel chip, but as of now I only have a Pentium 4 HT 3.2Ghz.

So I'm looking for a board, preferably that can run my Small P4 HT 3.2Ghz chip for now, till I upgrade to the Duo2 Core chip in a month.

I know the new MSI P6N supports it for sure, but only runs 4 sata instead of the 6 that I need, and its a 650I chipset, and I prefer 680I.

If anyone knows of a board that fits these needs, please let me know.
 
I am assuming the P4 chip your using is a socket 775 chip? Most P4's were socket 478 and it wasn't until very late with the Prescott core that they switched to 775 which is the same socket as the Core 2 Duo. The P4 3.2C is the Northwood core and socket 478 and the P4 3.2E is the Prescott core and socket 478 while the P4 540 Prescott 3.2 is socket 775 with 1mb L2 cache and the P4 640 Prescott 3.2 is socket 775 with 2mb L2 cache so as you can see you need to be sure what socket your CPU uses.
 



For curtain I know that its the L?? 775, socket T if I'm not mistaken, but indeed its 775
 
Both the 540 and 640 are 800MHz FSB CPU's so any newer board which supports that speed might run that chip. Manufacurers sites should have a list of supported chips for example the Asus states that the P5N32-E SLI is compatible with Intel 06/05B/05A processors where as the 540 and 640 are 04A so you would need to find a board which supports that. Because you have a 90nm CPU it might be a little harder to find a board which supports it, the last of the P4's were 65nm and most newer boards support those on to present.
