I recently built myself a pc with a GTX 770. Ever since building it has taken two boots to get the card to go past the BIOS screen. I tried going to onboard graphics on the mobo and that boots straight away. What is the most likely cause and solution to this?

Z87-PLUS BIOS 2004 and BIOS updater

dropped it two weeks ago.
also on your monitor are you using one or two cables?? your gpu should work fine from the dvi port if you have a good cable on it.
also check that in the bios your running xmp profile to rule out the mb is falling over on first post due to not setting the ram speed right.

with gpu-z see if your card has the c3 bios. looks like they dropped a bios fix.
check in the bios on intel newer mb it set to peg/pci first not auto so the pci video slot first. also make sure the motherboard bios is up to date to rule out a bios bug. if it an older motherboard could be a weak motherboard or your power supply is weak cant output the load needed at first post.
