Evening,

I have done considerable forum searching for my same issue and it appears there is a largely known 970 GTX issue.

Here's the breakdown of my issue:
-Have an EVGA 670GTX - starting to have overheating issues so it critical errors out anytime I render/edit 1080p video
-Decided to replace it with the STRIX 970 GTX.
-Get home, plug in, no display for either monitor.
-Plug old card in, update BIOS to F12 version (latest non beta version), turn off PC, pull MOBO battery, Clear Bios using Jumper, also tried another method using the Reset button.
-Deleted ALL old NVIDIA drivers/software related to the 670 GTX and also Loaded Optimized Defaults in the BIOS startup.
-Now I get a display, the Gigabyte BIOS Splash Screen (right before windows would typically boot) The problem is that it freezes right here with no keyboard functionality (keyboard lights come on, just no keys work to take me into BIOS) then it flips to a black/grey screen with a white line blinking in top left corner.

-Think its a faulty card after trying everything, take back and exchange for EVGA 970 GTX SSC today.
-Have exactly the same issue.

I am hoping there is some help out there for me as it's been about 10 hours wasted trying to figure this out.

Specs:

Win 7 64 Bit
Gigabyte GA-X79-DMU5 Motherboard
i7-3820 at 3.60GHz Quad Core Processor
EVGA 970 GTX SSC (the card I want to work)
EVGA 670 GTX (the card that barely works allowing me to type right now)
32 GB Pioneer DDR3 RAM
1000W Titan PSU

Please help!
