EVGA 980ti acx 2.0 to EVGA 1000W PSU connection Issue --

In the EVGA GPU's graphics card manual says "Always use the cables that came with PSU" first
now all the red Vga cables from EVGA PSU's have this 6+2 pins, when you insert those I realize there is still another 6 pin on the GPU, does that mean I have to fully cancel the red VGA cables that came with EVGA PSU and open up to see EVGA GPU's cable match? or does it simply mean it is okay as long as 6+2 pin cable inserts and you dont have to use that additional 6pin on GPU itself?

I looked up installation online via youtube, but couldn't find that specific part for this model,

After doing all the reading on the manuals and installed my ASRock Thunderbolt card, and the ASRock usb 3.1 card extension on the appropriate slots on the ASRock Extreme 4 x99 board, (Thunderbolt should go to PCI Express 2.0 (PCIE2) & USB 3.1 card goes to PCIE3 as stated on ASRock's manual)
But;
Please look at the following photo I took, this makes that area beneath the front fan of EVGA GPU quite tight, is that perfectly OK? I wanted to make sure as I am taking my time doing my first build today, and this is my most advanced PC I have ever laid my hands to

You need to take another 6+2 and connect only the 6pin part to the GPU leaving the additional 2 pins on the side.

Correct, use the same red cable that you used for the other connection. No do not use the included cables, your PSU should have more than enough VGA cables. Those cables the GPU come with are only if you needed them which in your case you should not need them.

Jimmy thank you mate, I installed all the cards, and took your advice, now I am about to power on for the VERY first time, Do you see my question 2 and my second photo with thunderbolt card and usb 3.1 being so close to the Fans of EVGA GPU, is that Normal mate?

Is there Anything ABSOLUTELY I have to check before I POWER ON for the first time, I have connected the KRAKEN x61 water cooling to CPU FAN1 to motherboard as well as connected to SATA Powers via EVGA PSU cables provided, and it also connected to additional USB header on the board,

anything That I have to make sure? I have inserted all the RAMS as well, now that GPU is on its place
I also have m.2 installed to use as my OS harddrive and an optical drive.. what else I should be dangerously missing before I turn the Power On??

Those are fine where they are if that is what the manula stated just follow it and you will be fine.

I would check all power connections to make sure they are tight.

For a M.2 SSD make sure you have UEFI enabled and when you boot to the USB/DVD that you select the one showing UEFI in order to be able to make it bootable.

UEFI enabling is that something I have to do with any jumpers or anything physically or is it all when I first switch on and it will ask me to choose somewhere?
(this is ASRock x99 Extreme4 / usb 3.1 motherboard just in case for reference)

You enable UEFI in the BIOS. By default it should be enabled but you would want to get into the BIOS and check to make sure it is on.

Thank you Jimmy, I am waiting on one more thing about CPU FAN connection, after than that I think I will switch on for the first time, Kraken's Water Cooling Fan X61 states that I connect 3pin to CPU-PWR 4-pin header on motherboard, on ASRock Extreme4 I am building, there is a header named "CPU_FAN1" that is 4 pin (there is also another CPU_FAN2 next to it which actually is 3pin) I am assuming even though Kraken x61 manual named it differently that is the 4pin it requires me to connect on the board? One pin stays exposed, which is what they expect since Kraken manual specifically wrote "Connect the 3-pin power cable from the pump to the 4-pin CPU-PWR connector on the motherboard" ? Let me know if you think I am doing it wrong before I Power on

There are various naming schemes per motherboard vendor but in your case you would connect the 3 pin from the Kraken to CPU_FAN1 as that is the primary fan controller for the CPU. The only reason for this connection is so the motherboard doesn't freak out and think there is no fan on the CPU.

The difference between 3 and 4 pin is what is called PWM. 4 pin fans can be controlled by the BIOS or software. Your Kraken will control the fans itself so you only need that 3 pin to tell the motherboard that a fan is installed on the CPU.
