I'm trying to put together a reasonably priced build and I want to pick a decent, stable, and reasonably priced main board. Has anyone used the eVGA nforce 590 SLI board? I really like the fact that it comes with a lifetime warranty but I've not seen any reviews of the board at all and I've got no experience with the company. I asssume it's just a standard nVidia reference build but I'm curoius about the board's quality.

For comparison's sake, the other board I'm looking at is the Gigabyte GA-M590 SLI board. I've used Gigabyte boards before and have had no complaints. That said, the Gigabyte board is $159 -vs- $99 (after a $30 MIR).

I'm not planning on OC'ing the board and I just want to run a nice stable, upgradable board. Is the Gigabyte board worth the extra $60 or would I just be paying for the heat pipe and the name?

The EVGA board looks like a relabel of the Foxconn C51XEM2AA- 8EKRS2H with a sticker over the Foxconn logo, as does the XFX MB-N590ASH9 . Compare the pictures of the three and see. Based on that you ought to be able to tell something from the other boards' reviews which seem pretty positive.

I don't know anything about that Gigabyte board so I can't help you there.

Thanks for the replies. I'm waiting for the AMD April 9th price cuts so we'll see what the prices on the two boards look like in the middle of April. That said, I'm really leaning towards the Gigabyte board. It seems like all the usual suspects have reviewed the board and been impressed with it (example: PC World Rankings).

I would love to save the $60 and get the eVGA board but I'm a little concerned about the fact that no-one has reviewed it specifically (on the normal tech sites or new-egg customer reviews). Additionally, I looked throught their support board and it looks like there are a lot of people p'ed off about their 680i board (although it does look like that's a memory and voltage issue and not a board issue).
