Wow, OCing has now came to PSUs.

Being able to choose betwenn single or multiple 12V rails is a good feature though. Its like hitting two birds with one stone.

[citation][nom]cmcghee358[/nom]3x 6 pin PCIe has to be a typo?[/citation]

apparently the article is missing the 16x 6+2 pci-e connectors so no issue.

[citation][nom]giovanni86[/nom]If you look at the product page it has to be a typo.[/citation]
Product images show 8x 8-pin PCIe power connectors on the PSU, maybe someone misread the '8' as '3' or only looked at the middle-row of modular connectors.

I just can say WOW to the price and features, but.... Every generation technology becomes more efficient and power friendly. When the GXT480 came out, you need at least a 1000W PSU to run it 2 way SLI. But by now with a good branded PSU of about 750W is enough for running GTX680 2 Way SLI. So wheres the point of launching "bigger" PSUs? I mean, I would better spend my money in a 750W platinum branded PSU than 1500w Gold PSU.

Seems like total overkill. I guess there might be some use if you're running quad SLI with the most power-hungry video card available and overclocking them to the extreme. In that case, you're already spending a few grand on the video cards alone, so what's another $450.

milk that cow....really, people pay this much for a power supply?....did they forget that we are in a recession?...most people don't have that kind of money....what happened with making products that are cheaper to manufacture yet they perform better?....for this price the power supply should be at least 95% efficient...we are talking about a high end power supply here
