It looks like they used Super Flower as the OEM for these two new models. Finally worthy of recommending and purchasing, if this is true.

The original SuperNova Nex750G model, based on the FSP Aurum platform, is a flawed product.

Would you be able to explain a little further why its flawed? just curious.

EVGA SuperNOVA NEX750G 750 W
• Loose voltage regulation on all rails except for the +5V rail
• Crossload testing shows that the +5V rail will drop below the minimum +4.75V allowed by the ATX12V Power Supply Design Guide Specs
• 3.3V rail fails Advanced Transient Response testing at 50% Load (i.e. +3.3V rail drops to +3.097V that is below the +3.14V minimum allowed by the ATX12V Power Supply Design Guide Specs)
• Noisy fan (at high speed) due to the use of linear fan speed regulation instead of the use of the preferred dual zone fan speed regulation.

The FSP Aurum CM Gold 750 W is the platform on which the EVGA SuperNOVA NEX750G is built. It suffers from the same problems and in some cases even worse problems than the EVGA version.

There wouldn't be any reason to change the model if it is working properly.

If the new model is based on Super Flower's Leadex Gold Series platform then it will be vastly superior to the FSP platform models.
