I really don't mind paying a marginal amount extra for extra looks, if that's what you're looking for, and I know EVGA makes good products. How about some skins to change the color or something?

They look great, though the "optimized for 4K+"/etc branding is kinda lame-o.

I've been team green for the past 4 sets of cards...but I have to give it to AMD with their bridge-less CXF implementation.

I'll have to agree with you on CFX. It's really nice not needing a bridge to connect the cards. However, I've noticed that having a bridge on 2-4 cards looks nicer.

They look a bit too silver for my personal taste, however they do look quite nice!

Looks to be the same color as their reference cards- should be a good match. Within a few months I'll get a second 980 and 4K monitor, so I guess I'll be needing one of these puppies.

These are ffantastic, AMD should have privided this sort of thing long ago. Of course the latest models from AMD don't require crossfire bridges. But I will def be checking these out in the future.

If it's not because part of the chip didn't come out right, then they could just make every chip i7 and sell them for less. But I assume it is a yield thing, they fuse damaged parts off in testing; or being fuses they blow themselves in testing. Whatever part of the chip that's left, if it's stable and preforms to a spec, slap that spec model number it and ship it out.

At least that's what I always assumed when people talk hobbled chips.

You just gave the point. Too look better. Although, that's in the viewers eyes. If you meant performance wise, then yeah, no difference.

Why fans?? Use them as exhaust for cards that are non-blower?
