Evga classiefied3 motherboard

i have an evga classified 3 motherboard with 6 gigs of dominator gt ram 1866 when i go to control panel in windows then go to system and look at comp. specs it says i have 6 gigs of ram and 4 usable does anyone know why it says 4 usable and not 6 i am runnung win 7 ultimate 64 bit

do you know if its true that if i go to 12 gigs of ram it could bottleneck my system ,keep being told this. evga classified 3 motherboard , i7-975 cpu overclocked to 4.6 6 gigs of dominator gt ram at 1600 set speed and 3 580s in sli

IF running properly it won't bottleneck the system at all. It can be tricky to get higher amounts of RAM like that to run at the correct timings and speeds though :/
