EVGA Experiments With 4-Way Fermi GTX 480 SLI

I guess your really don't need to run these full load, so the temps should not raise too much if the case has enough positive air flow. Noise could be an issue though.
 
And if Nvidia makes a dual GPU card of these (on par with the 5970) think of those in a 4-way SLI. Or should I say, 8 way.

I'm pretty sure that isn't possible, as, as far as I know [lol at all those as's] quad sli is as high as sli goes.

There is an issue with drivers. Read around the web and you'll see the reason why it's not up and running. I need some more Fermi Boxes to look at.....
 
Apparently you need a special case with fans directly blowing on the 480's to have an optimum sli setup according to Nvidia. Im guessing the case you need for this is going to be built to protect the user from the heat.
 
This puppy is an all-in-one solution; with temperatures like that it'll be able to cook your food, heat your home, and will suffice all your computer needs.
