EVGA FTW or MSI 980ti

Hi everyone, I was just wondering which card to get the EVGA 980 ti FTW or the MSI 980 ti Gaming. Both have similar factory overlock speeds and are on sale for $650 right now. There aren't many reviews of the EVGA because it came out like a month ago so I don't know if there is coil whine or not so I'm nervous. Any advice would be great.

I'd get the EVGA.

Higher core clock and boost clock. It draws about 25W more, but if you're looking to eek the absolute best performance out of your card go for the EVGA.

I want the EVGA, but out the few reviews I have seen some have said they run hotter and slightly louder than some of the other ti. Would you still go with the EVAG knowing that?

Yes, I'd still go with the EVGA.

They will run a little hotter (see the extra 25W draw), but honestly with a well ventilated case it isn't going to be a problem.

The fan noise is totally subjective issue. Some people can't stand hearing any part of their rig, while others don't mind and focus on enjoying their games. Unless you're activley trying to build a "quiet rig" within a sound dampening case the fan noise is a non-issue.
