I've been stuck on which GPU to buy for a PC Build I have been planning on building, To replace a 12 year old HP Laptop (that still runs Windows 7)
GPU1: EVGA FTW3 Ultra Gaming RTX 3090 24GB
OR
GPU2: ASUS TUF RTX 4070 Ti 12GB
I was aiming to get the 3090 from the second hand market, because of the 24GB of VRAM it has compared to the 12GB of VRAM that the 4070 Ti does. Plus considering how games today tend to be VRAM Hogs, it made sense to go for the 3090, but on the other hand there aren't any brand new EVGA GPUs anymore (RIP EVGA).... My goal was to try and find (the RTX 3090 EVGA) in either Like-New or Open Box or Still under some kind of warrenty/extended warrenty...
But the RTX 4070 Ti (ASUS TUF) seemed tempting because it's brand new, and if it dies I can just RMA the GPU... But the 12GB of VRAM concerns me. I feel like soon even 12GB will be outdated, or maybe that's just me think way outside the box or not IDK....
Main Concern, Go Used and save money or Go New and have an RMA in-case something fails.... Again not sure which route to go with....
