[SOLVED] EVGA G5 Supernova 850w

I just bought this PSU for my new build that will have a 5800x and a 3070/3080. Is this considered one or the better Psus out there. I've seen mixed reviews about it i just want to make sure this psu will be good for my system.

It's not a bomb, but it's not fantastic either. It's for sure worse than the older g2 models. I would get a better unit.

Corsair RMx series is a better PSU but I'm not sure I'd run out and replace what you bought. The RMX is one of the quietest models and the G5 is actually rated as kind of noisy but it should be able to do the job. I used to recommend EVGA PSU's all the time. Now, it's actually rare.

I'm actually looking for a quiet psu because the one I have now, the corsair cx750m is louder than I like and its kind of annoying. So I'd rather go with a quiet psu if possible, its easy enough for me to return and get the corsair if I want. Im just trying to make a nice build that I can be happy with for a good amount of time so im trying to put quality parts together.

If you can do it without losing money, I'd definitely swap it out for the RMx.
