EVGA GQ or G3 for a 650W power supply ?

i heard bad things about the g3 having production issues .. so should i avoid it ?
as its anyways 30$ more than the GQ so i dont want to risk it and pay more

I've not heard of any issues on the G3. The only thing I've heard is that SuperFlower subbed out some lines due to production demands, but as their primo series, it's doubtful that the G3 is among those. That could also be rumor or conjecture, but if true there shouldn't be an issue with quality as it's highly doubtful SuperFlower will let their top selling/cost primo lines me made crap.

As large and powerful as SuperFlower is in the psu industry, you either guarantee the psu gets made to their specs and quality, or they'll find someone else who will. And any decision like that would also have to go through Evga, and they'll not put up with shoddy workmanship in their top line psus either.

So it's a pretty safe bet that the only...

What's it pushing? For most systems 650w is a little much, generally only high end newer systems can benefit from 650w, in which case the G3 would be the better psu. If just over sizing for no real reason and you only need a 450w - 500w psu, the GQ is fine.

a ryzen 7 2700x with a gtx 1080ti .. the wattage isnt the problem .. im worried about the brand as i heard the g3 has production issues .. is that true or should i get it and not get the gq ?
