Does GTS 250 works with full bandwidth at PCIe X16(2.0) at 8X or it need full 16X Bandwidth speed????
The memory bandwidth is 70.4gb/s as mentioned....
if i put this card on 3rd PCIe X16 slot which is at 8X, Will it going to loose badwidth or will it work perfectly with full bandwidth?????
thanks

depends upon your motherboard if u have full x16 pci-e slot gts 250 will run on x16
if u have x8 slot it will run on x8

well i guess u have a motherboard with 3 pci-e slots put your card in any slot it will run on x16

thats in case of sli or crossfire

It will loose bandwidth since the PCIe card does not get a full 16 lanes but since the card is not the highest end card it will not get bottlenecked as much as the higher end cards (GTX285, 460, 470, 40, 5870, 5970)

The performance hit on a GTS250 is alot lower, maybe the maximum performance hit is up to 1.5fps max.

On the most high end Graphics Cards, Performance might be reduced by 10 or 20 percent, but with a GTS250, the performance won't be that reduced. All ways go for the 16x lanes, Future card will all need 16x or even 32x when it comes out. I hope this answers your Question...

if i use third slot which can be adjusted to X8, so will i gona loose bandwidth???
i have already mention that my evga gts 250 has memory bandwidth of 70.4Gb/s...
