I am planning to build a gaming PC but i am confused on which Graphics card I should get. The GTX 1050ti SC is $192.99 (CAN) and the GTX 1050ti is $199.99 (CAN). SO my question is which graphics card is worth the money to play PUBG, Hitman etc. This will be paired with a ryzen 5 1600x. Thanks :)

1. In most cases the AIB cards are always faster ... MSI, Giga, etc can deliver up to 7% more fps than the reference cards. However, the EVGA series has almost always used the same exact PCB as the reference series and, when both are overclocked as far as they can go, the SC has never brought much to the table.... but we have seen fried VRMS, smoke and an occasional flame.

And with the same PCB, what's the point of paying more ? The SC cooler is likely better but w/ the 1050 Tis low power draw, again ... what's the point ? It won't matter cause the 1050 Ti reference doesn't throttle and therefore nothing to improve upon.

Our standard advice is .... never buy a reference card, and since that's what the SC series essentially is, we...
The SC is the same card as the non-SC, as MathGeek stated, but OC a tad. The SC may have a higher binned GPU, though. That would make it a slightly better OC'er if you are into OC'ing the card. And the price difference is so small, I would go for the SC.

2. If you go to the link below and type inn 1050 Ti as a filter ... there's not a single full size 1050 Ti that breaks a 9.0 rating. While AMD doesn't have a horse in the race from the 1060 on up, the 570 is a better card than the 1050 Ti (47% faster) and the 470 was 30% better .... but the recent mining craze has made these cards insensible for gaming.

With the RX x70s off the table for the time being due to ridiculous prices ... assuming that we are discussing 1080p, Id look at and try to expand the budget to include a 3GB 1060 ... It costs 43% more, but it's slight;y ,ore than 50% faster. For example... in Witcher 3, the 1050 Ti delivers just 33.9 fps . The 1060 3Gb delivers a much more playable 54.7 fps
