I went to a PC shop and they had dell optiplex 790 with i5-2400, 8gb DDR3 RAM, 120 GB SSD, and a 350W PSU that came the prebuilt PC.
I want to install an EVGA GTX 1060 3GB SC into the pc. I plan on using the molex pins to power the card through a molex-to-6pin cord which was provided with the GPU.
Should I carry on with the plan or buy a new higher watt PSU because these built-in PSU are gold rated and power calculator shows that the system will require 285 watts max. The stock PSU is rated output 305 watts, the dealer has also agreed to change the stock PSU with another 350 watt PSU from another prebuilt pc.
Any advice or opinion is highly appreciated and welcomed.
