EVGA gtx 1080 ftw hybrid radiator mount location

So I am going to buy the 780t case and
• add a hydro series corsair h115i 280mm radiator to cool the CPU (which will exhaust at the top)
• a 140mm fan exhaust at the back
• 2 140mm fan intakes at the front

But then there is no space for the hybrid gpu radiator except for the bottom of the case.
I would prefer to mount the radiator to exhaust at the bottom of the case however, I have heard this is not very good since hot air rises and air pockets in the AIO tube would cause splashes of water down the tube.

Do you think this would be a problem or would you suggest:
• going for an air cooled GPU
• replace the front 2 fans with 120mm fans and mount the radiator at the front [I do not prefer this option since it would mean less airflow inside case and the tube going across case may obstruct airflow to motherboard]

I am looking for a solution to offer the most effective cooling for an overclocked gtx 1080

and I don't have the radiator ''mounted'' is just sitting loose on the floor of my case - I tried several ways to put it but that ended up the best with a 7c lower temp over any other way I tried it

I would buy the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0 which doesn't have a radiator.

sounds good, then a air only card, especially that one that is very silent sounds good, and avoids the hassle of setting up another radiator that only partially cools the gpu, that gu still has a fan apart the one on the radiator

So are you saying I should do ahead and mount it so the radiator and the fan exhausts at the bottom of the case because I do have a fan mount at the bottom that would secure it. (sorry I think this is what you meant.)
Also, when you left it loose on the bottom of your case, did you experience the water of the hybrid cooler splashing as it passed through the tube due to air pockets in the tube because I read someone saying that, but I am not sure if that was just particular to them.

So you are saying to get the air cooled model. Is it just as effective as hybrid cooling or is hybrid cooling significantly better? What I am saying is that if I had all the space I needed, would I see more than 3-4ºC change between air cooling with ACX3.0 and hybrid cooling with the radiator at the top of the case?

NOPE, I have -0- issues with my card it works better then I expected and fully as advertised

I wish I had some wat to take a pictrure to post along with that drawing .. but ya, I see some guys post arounfd about that pump noise and fan isses gurgling and all ????

even out of the box first time running it it did none of that and still don't wisper quite my CPU fan make more noise then this card

no, the air cooled is a bit less efficient than the watercooled one, but is also very quiet

iirc, i saw a review comparing them, the watercooled model runs 10°c cooler than the other, but noise is not a concern on any of them

So would I get great cooling mounting the radiator as exhaust at the bottom of the case. I know you added it loose, but I assume there is no difference between adding it loose and making it more secure with mounting slots. My primary concern was about air clearance at the bottom of my 780t and that, because I was going against the conventional exhaust at the top, intake at the bottom, my cooling would be bad and, my temperature would be much higher. So are you saying there is nothing to worry about and to just buy the hybrid edition to mount at the bottom of my case?

don't know ?? ''but noise is not a concern on any of them'' you do see complaints a lot and what I see is unlike the 900 series hybrid card that had a hybrid bios on them that not the case with the 10 series and there using the air cooler bios on the hybrids

thing to do is look down the list of threads on any hybrid posts and see whats reported and draw a conclusion may come down to you get lucky and a great card or you don't ?

the way I mounted the radiator was common sense and how they work real life just like in your car in at the top out at the bottom not as there exotic ways they show

think look at my way see how easy the pump has to work to do its job ??? no stress on it at all .

now look at the way with the hoses all at the bottom hoses looped and mounted above the card . now look how much work that pump got to do to push all that liquid up and around and fight its self to do so ???

I just don't see any practical benefits in there recommended mounting [opinion] maybe that's why there getting all the complaints and issues ?? I'm not having any [so far in a year of use]

ya recommended for short life so you hurry up and need to buy an new card quicker ?

So do you recommend the hybrid mounted at the bottom of the case for a long term solution or do you agree with +atljsf and think I should get an air cooled evga gtx 1080? (sorry, but your opinion of what you recommend I do was not clear in your response)

my hybrid works great but I guess it could of been a hunk of junk just as easy ? I was skeptical on one but pulled the trigger and it worked out ?

like any gpu theres all ways that luck of the draw involved with any card and any brand

i'll add I never had need to water cool a CPU and decent air cooler mounted properly has all ways cooled great for me but I do see a nice benefit on this hybrid on this GPU over air

you see threads here with guys using them coolers like you want for the cpu and really don't see where there cooling much better then a solid air unit does ??

but with a card that averages 70 -85c max on a air cooler and only getting 48c with a hybrid , pretty nice .

that's what I see with this on my haswell and that 70c is the hottest I ever seen it get ??? for 25 bucks
