EVGA GTX 285 and monitor choice. NEED HELP!

I searched this forum and couldn't find a solid answer. The topic always seems to wander off into GPU debates. So maybe I can get a solid answer here. I'm about to build my first gaming PC, I have all the hardware, minus monitor. I'll be running an EVGA GTX 285. I'm trying to decide between 22, 23 and 24 inch LCD displays (1680x1050, 1900x1080 or 1920x1200). Which res will be the perfect fit with the 285? I'm looking to spend between $250-$300. And while I'm on the subject. Will a GTX 285 produce HD resolutions on a 50 inch 1080p plasma TV? If this topic has been debated to death, I apologize.

go for 1920 x 1200 or 1920 x 1080 or your not using your gtx 285 enough. Aslong as the tv has dvi or vga I am pretty sure it will work as a monitor (i'm sure it varies by make and model).

24" is my choice. Anything smaller and you're holding back the horsepower from the GTX 285.

I went to a local electronics store and they had a really nice 23" LG. The native resolution is 1920x1080, but can I run 1920x1200 res on it? Cause I know they make 23" monitors with 1920x1200 native.

Your cards maximum digital resolution should be 2560x1600. Go with a 24inch monitor, it should easily support it. And it will easily support your 1080p 50inch becuase 1080p is 1920x1080. So your 24inch monitor will give it more load then your 50inch plasma!

nothing less than 19x12. plenty of good options out there, although personally I always recommend brick and motars for finding a monitor you like. then once you have a model shop around online, but you can't exactly buy a monitor sight unseen.
