Ok, so I recently put together a new system and proceeded to benchmark it with 3DMark 11. I wasn't too impressed by the score even though it claims that it is right where it should be according to the bar graph. I guess I was hoping for a higher score.
The resulting score ended up being P4353.

I looked up systems with similar hardware and one of them showed a score of P6596.

From what the secondary system shows, there are very minor increases to the GPU, but it shouldn't warrant such a larger score than mine. So I'm curious if my system is bottlenecked somewhere. I tried using an earlier NVIDIA driver (296.10), but the change was marginal compared to the latest version. Even when I overclocked the CPU to 4.0 GHz, it only gave me an addtional 50 pts or so on my score. I'm also running into an issue with the RAM running at 800 MHz. According to CPU-Z, the DRAM frequency is running at 800 MHz, but 3DMark shows it at 667 MHz. I also noticed within CPU-Z on the SPD tab, it states the memory has a max bandwidth of PC3-10700 (667 MHz) instead of PC3-12800. I'm using an ASRock Extreme 6 motherboard and I set the BIOS manually to 1600 instead of 1333, but it doesn't make a difference. Even if I overclock the memory to 1866, CPU-Z still shows it as PC3-10700 (667 MHz). Any ideas?
Here is the full system build.
ASRock Extreme 6 motherboard
Intel i5 3570K (overclocked to 4 GHz)
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600 (2x4GB) CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
EVGA GTX 560 SC
Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD
I appreciate any help. If you need any additional system info, just let me know.
Thanks!
