EVGA Gtx 750 ti FTW ACX fan noise

I am planning on getting this graphics card and I heard that the fan noise on it is really loud, even when it is in desktop mode. That is a deal breaker for me because I don't want to have to hear the fan when I'm on desktop, it doesn't matter as much when I'm gaming though.

(uh oh). Just bought the same gtx 750 ti FTW and it's coming tomorrow, i would also like to know if the fan is loud.

EVGA has a BIOS update to fix the the too-aggressive fan profile and reduce noise.

This fix is already applied to recent cards.

*However people claim the fan goes back to the noisier profile after installing the NVidia drivers. Not sure what is going on since I thought fan control was done entirely by the card itself.

So you may want to investigate further.

Update:
I would RETURN the card if unopened since it appears there is no fix that will work.

I'd go with a Gigabyte model instead.

If you ALREADY OWN the card the best advice I can give is to MOD the card with a Noctua fan (I think the one used is 92mm?).

Wow that's bad, well what ill do is install my 750 ti FTW and check with yall here to tell if mine is loud or not.
