Hey guys, this is my first post on this website so I'll try to be as unambiguous as possible, I ordered an EVGA Geforce GTX 750 TI Superclocked a few days ago and it got here today, I can plug it into the motherboard and hook up the cables just fine, but my computer freezes for several minutes when it gets to the BIOS screen and then it goes to a black screen with a flashing underscore.

I've looked for several hours online about this but I can't find any solutions for me, I don't think it's issues with my specs because I plugged my other card back in and the computer runs properly, but just for safety measures I'll post my specs

OS: Windows 7 home premium 64-bit

BIOS: Gigabyte technology Dual UEFI version 04.06.05

Processor: Intel i5-2400 3.10 ghz w/ 4 CPU'S

8 gigs of RAM

my DX is DirectX11

If you guys need any more information I'd be glad to give it, I also appreciate any help at all, cheers.

You failed 1st at telling us your PSU unit Brand and Model. It also could be a problem in the Bios. Need the Mobo Company and Model number.

Pretty sure there is no power cable to this card.

I highly doubt it's lack of power as well since it's rated to work with a 300W power supply.

*There have been issues with the new UEFI BIOS in these cards not being compatible with some motherboards. Since he has a UEFI board that might not be an issue, however:
1) Update your BIOS to newest

2) Contact Gigabyte or google your exact motherboard for GTX750Ti compatibility.

3) Try GTX750Ti in a different computer

Ah sorry, it's a Corsair CX 500, and yeah this card doesn't have any extra power PCI cable slots, also I'm not sure how to check the model number, sorry for being so noobish at this but I've never taken any classes on it or anything, the only reason I know certain things is because I've found them out myself.

(I guess I screwed up the reply thing)

Hmm could be the cards bad. Best thing to do is try and put it in a different system and see if that's the problem. Or it could have been the bios, See if it's the latest and try flashing again. Sometimes they don't take the 1st time.

Your PSU has low power for 750Ti. I recommend 700W.

Don't listen to people I ran gtx 750 ti on 240w psu and currently running on 450w.
I also have core i5 2400 and I updated bios from dell site and card works.

So what you want do is update bios. If problem remains then try the graphic card on another PC. If the problem remains return the graphic card.

And when your boots do u see a gtx 750 ti written on a black screen?

LoL? A 750Ti doesn't require a 700W PSU, where did you get your info from?

Your components will die soon, they require certain power to run normally.

Nah it just stays as a black screen, would you mind linking the site/download? I haven't been able to find it for whatever reason, or do you need more info on my bios for that?

It's possible that the bios needs a update or reflashed if you did it already. However it could very well be the GPU. Not every single one gets tested and it's bound to happen. One way to find out of the GPU is bad is stick it in another machine. Which shouldn't be a problem since it's a power needs are low.

Here's a link to the Bios's. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4089#bios This is for Rev. 2.0 which you can find on the motherboard next to the model number most likely. This latest bios is F7c which"Improve High-End Display card compatibility", according to the page. Just make sure that your mobo is Rev. 2.0 before you go flashing it. Also check at the post test when it goes thru the start up and look for the Bios version.

Yeah my motherboard is Rev. 2.0, I don't have another tower to test my card in sadly, I extracted the file into my downloads folder but how do I get it to actually do anything to my bios?

If you look on the same page toward the bottom in red it shows EFIFlash.exe. I've never used a Gigabyte mobo before and not sure where the file is on there site. Possible that somebody else that knows where could help you on that. However you need to do what I said when you restart your computer you need to look at the post test screen for your current bios version to see what it is. Do that and then we'll go from there. You might do a search for EFIFlash and see where on the Gigabyte site you can get it.

Alright this is what I've tried so far, I saved both F6 and F4 to a flash drive, F6 didn't work on the Q-Flash update so I tried F4 too, but that also didn't work, I'm just stumped.
