evga gtx 760 2gb ram or 4?

When does the extra ram in these cards pay off? I plan to use the Asus z97-Pro mobo.for my first build.

Extra RAM = Capability to run higher resolutions. There is no performance difference between the two @ 1080p.

depends on monitor, my gtx 760 sli rocked out on single monitor but when I used three monitors fps suffered to the point I sold both cards and upgraded to r9 290x crossfire. The extra ram is good for multiple monitors, if single monitor is used then 2gb is ok
