EVGA GTX 770 SC W/ ACX 2GB Vs. GTX 970

So I bought the EVGA GTX 770 SC W /ACX and was wondering if i should return it for the GTX 970.

Or is the 770 SC stronger than the 970?

The 970 is over 25% faster than the 770. However dont get and EVGA model, their coolers are misaligned causing 2/3 heatpipe contact with the GPU die.

Is the one shown the regular 770? Because mines is a superclocked one. But i suppose the 970 is still quite a bit faster than that?

you can overclock yourself very easily any gttx970 to get the same advantages.

the 970 is a very nice card and if i was in the market it would be my purchase

Superclocked or factory OC models, regardless of manufacturer, will only increase performance 2-5% over reference cards. Clock speeds simply cant compete with a better architecture.

Alright, guess I should return it then and get the 970. Would Asus be the best model for it currently?

ASUS has a great cooler and quality, MSI holds the best clock speeds while retaining a good cooler.
Either are great choices.

The best one is Gigabyte G! (Well that's my opinion). It runs a little bit faster than every other out of the box, the 3 fans do their job properly, the blue led light on the top is really cool looking and best of all, it comes with 3 hdmi ports so you can plug up to a 3 monitor setup in the same card with the same kind of cables with no problem.
The problem my friend is that there are no 970's out there. Every single one is out of stock (with the exception of the EVGA one but people are having issues with it so I wouldn't recommend) So if you decided to return, you'll have to wait an average period of a month to get your card home. If you can handle that wait time it's totally worth it.
