So i am upgrading from a GTX 280 to a eVGA GTX 950 SSC or FTW. Is it possible to connect a 950 to a 1.1 PCIe. 950's got a 3.0 PCIe. Will it be any bottleneckin? My CPU is Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83 Ghz.

Solution
It is possible to connect it since PCI-E slots are backwards compatible but thing is 1.1 is limited to 2.5GTs while the GTX 950 obviously has more. But a GTX 680 (which is quite powerful as well) suffers only something like 15% loss when placed on 1.1 instead of 3.0, so you can expect something in the range of 10-20% of performance loss, but it will run.

20% loss on 950?
