Started my build today almost finished but my monitor is keep saying no DVI signal and I think my graphics card is the problem and i'm also new to the whole PC building thing so I don't know much of the terms and names for a lot of things.

I have already tried google'ing my problems in various different ways already and I seem to get to nowhere when it comes to searching for a specific answer.

My first concern is that am i suppose to use the 6pin VGA cable that is connected through my power supply or am I suppose to use the 6pin from the 6+2 pin cable that is also coming from my powersupply?

My second concern is which DVI port am I suppose to use? Theres one on the motherboard and one on the PCI-e slot outside the case that popping out of the GPU.

What are the things I should fix and change??

My Spec
CPU: i7 4790k
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X31
Motherboard: MSI SLI Krait Z97
Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0 Superclocked
RAM: Kingston DDR3 1866 2x8GB
SSD: OCZ 100Series 240gb
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750B2
Case: NZXT S340

You should not need to use the adapters. Your psu should be able to support these connections if not, it just means your psu isn't suitable for the gpu you intend to use.
If you use a graphic card, you should always use the graphic card's display outputs. Generally, the motherboard's display outputs are disabled when a gpu is installed. Certain motherboards may allow you to use the motherboard's outputs for multi monitor purposes.

I tried doing what you said and it seems like there is still no dvi signal. After that i tried to use the pci cables that fits to the molex pins and it still has no signal. For both methods my gtx 970's fan is spinning for like 1 second then stops spinning.

I tried the other solutions with your idea but theres no dvi signal. Should I just try using the hdmi cable and connect that to my TV and do the BIOS there and then change my settings so that the dvi cable works later??

Just did a little more research and I think the problem was that my motherboard already had an integrated graphics or that I didn't plug the CPU2 into the JPWR2 which I took out the GPU and plugged the CPU2 into the JWPR2. (Please tell me if this is wrong)

Also when I turned my PC on it started making noises, at first it sounded like it was water running through the Kraken but i'm beginning to doubt that.

Any help on this??

Yeah, you need to have both power plugged in...the 24 pin and then the 4 pin or 8 pin or whatever is on your mobo. Don't use the pcie 8 pin as it wont work with the jwpr2 one.

Your kraken will probably gurgle some at first if it's never been turned on. My hybrid 980 ti gurgled at first but now it doesn't.
