EVGA GTX 980 Classified in the RVZ02?

Hi peeps, long time lurker, first time poster here.

I've been looking into buying the Silverstone RVZ02, and i've been researching as much as I can but still haven't been able to figure out if the EVGA 980 Classified will fit inside the RVZ02 due to its larger size.

I know the card itself should fit, what I am doubting is once the double 8-pin connectors are attached, will it still have enough space for the side panel to close?

Mine fit, but the cables bent a lot and had to remove one of the internal plates. Pictures here
