EVGA GTX650 w/ 4GB RAM?

So i have a video card, labeled only "EVGA GTX 650". I plugged it into my rig and looked it up in dxdiag and hardware devices. Both reports are showing a GTX 650 with 4GB of RAM. Is this possible? Did EVGA even make one of these cards? i can't find any history online about this and would like to have some more specs on this card before i proceed in buying a new one.

Gigabyte did http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125509 not too sure why a 650 would never use 4gb.

"before i proceed in buying a new one" why are you buying a new one? It doesnt support SLI. DXdiag sometimes has issues displaying the correct amount of vram on some cards, try using gpu-z.

4gb 650? That's is laughable. That couldn't possible perform any better with the extra vram. As the retailer, add more ram will increase the price or the card and could get someone to make an illogical purchase.

I was planning on buying an R9 290 or a GTX 970. I would like to be able to play GTA V on something higher than medium settings (and Project Cars not looking like shit). I could only play Metro: LL on Medium as well.

Ok, it sound to me like you were looking to buy another 650. What did gpu-z show?

GPU-Z determined that the card is a 650 2GB. Thanks for your assistance.
