I recently bought EVGA Hadron air as my computer case and
i was wondering if the motherboard MSI B85I would be compatible with this case.

I just though I should mention here that this case will even take small mATX, yes small mATX, motherboards. Specifically, I have tried it with an ASUS H81M-A. WIth this specific motherboard the PSU will cover the sata ports and the front panel connectors, which you will have to connect in advance, after having taken the psu out first. The reinstall PSU and carry on building.

I believe this is very exciting as H81M-A or similar motherboards are very cheap, in most cases cheaper than ITX motherboards and somebody who is after a budget tiny gaming build, this info is very useful.

PM me for more info.

Hey traxevc,
I'm new to the forums, so i'm afraid i can't PM anybody 🙁
I wanted to build a mini ITX pc from a spare machine i have here and i read here that you managed to fit a mATX board in the Hadron Air. Could you tell me more details? My mobo would be an Asrock H61M-HVS, which is 0.2cm shorter than your H81M-A. Is it hard to take out the PSU? That would save me quite a bit of money and hassle, as 1155 mITX boards are very hard to come by in Brazil. Cheers!

Hello there,

It will probably fit. I have the feeling that the the h61m-hvs is a few mm longer. I have made a comparison here; you may judge by the photo:
